Anthurium Kokedama
Anthurium Kokedamas have gorgeous long lasting blooms and are available with either Pink or Red flowers, super easy care and a very popular indoor plant to own. Typically Anthuriums will grow best in an indoor area with bright, indirect light.
They don't like to be over watered, so only soak the Kokedama when it becomes light in weight, as the root system has taken out the moisture from the kokedama.
As there are different plant varieties, please be patient as plant stock will vary. They generally flower most of the year and blooms can last 2-3 months, which essentially make them a floral arangement in a kokedama. To prolong lifespan of flowering they require proper watering, indirect light, high humidity & top up with fertiliser.
They are also great as air purifying plants, cleansing the air that we breathe by filtering out toxins such as ammonia etc. Please note that Anthuriums can also be toxic if flowers are ingested or sap can irritate, so consider placing it out of reach.
PRODUCT INFO
Kokedama Anthurium plant size will vary (due to availability of plant stock). Each living art creation is unique, but will look very similar to the Kokedamas pictured in this product catalogue.
The actual Anthurium plant will generally be approx 30-40 cm in height from the top of Kokedama. Generally the Kokedama ball size for this product will be slightly larger than the size of a rockmelon.
All Kokedamas are made using combination of sphagnum moss, peat moss, soil, bark and twine.
Basic Care:
Due to kokedamas being moss based, the plant root system will absorb the moisture they need to grow from the kokedama ball. When the Kokedama ball becomes light in weight, the plant will generally need watering.
- Most of the time kokedamas will need a soak once every 2-3 weeks.
- To water your Kokedama, they require a 10 minute soak with approx 5 cm of water, using a sink or bowl.
- After soaking the plant you will notice it is heavier in weight, due to the water absorbed.
- Kokedamas also like air flow, so recommend a stand to allow good air flow or hanging your kokedama.
