Curly Spider Plant Kokedama
Curly Spider Plant Kokedamas are fairly easy care. They have such an interesting and delicate curly foilage & are a fairly hardy house plant to own.
These grow well indoors, will like bright filtered light and even tolerate artificial lighting as well. As they like well drained soil, make sure the kokedama is light in weight before giving it a watering/soak.
Curly Spider Plants do have great air purifying abilities and ideal for an office where it absorbs typical toxins. Whilst they are listed as non-toxic plants, note there are warnings that if cats eat enough of the plant, they can get an upset stomach. This should be considered so you can plan the perfect spot to place it.

Kokedama Curly Spider plant size will vary (due to availability of plant stock). Each living art creation is unique, but will look similar to the Kokedamas pictured in this product catalogue.
The actual Curly Spider plant will be approx 10 cm in height from the top of Kokedama. Generally the Kokedama ball size for this product will be approx size of a rockmelon, which will allow enough room for roots to grow. All Kokedamas are made using combination of sphagnum moss, peat moss, soil, bark and twine.
Basic Care:
Due to kokedamas being moss based, the plant root system will absorb the moisture they need to grow from the kokedama ball. When the Kokedama ball becomes light in weight, the plant will generally need watering.
- Most of the time kokedamas will need a soak once every 2 weeks, sometimes more frequently in summer and less frequently in winter, that's why it's good to get to know the weight.
- To water your Kokedama, they require a 10 minute soak with approx 5 cm of water, using a sink or bowl.
- After soaking the plant you will notice it is heavier in weight, due to the water absorbed.
- Kokedamas also like air flow, so recommend a stand to allow good air flow or hanging your kokedama.
