Large Peace Lily Kokedama

Large Peace Lily Kokedama

SKU: PLL-001

Large Peace Lily kokedamas have been made with slightly bigger plant and the kokedama ball itself is at least the size of a soccer ball, making them a statement piece of living art.

Peace Lily Kokedamas are ever so elegant, easy care and very popular in the plant world.   Typically Peace Lilies will prefer partial shade, can have been known to thrive in rooms without windows too.

They will actually tell you when they need watering as their leaves will droop and look a bit sad when they are thirsty.  After watering the leaves will stand up tall again.  This can also happen in the warmer months under extreme heat, so they may need to be positioned in a cooler area.

There are a few different varities of Peace Lily's, so plant stock can be seasonal.   Peace Lily's generally flower from spring and have long lasting white blooms, which essentially make them a floral arangement in a kokedama.

They are also in the top 10 of Air purifying plants, cleansing the air that we breathe by filtering out toxins.  Please note that Peace Lilies can also be toxic to fur babies (cats & dogs) if ingested, so consider placing it out of reach.

  • PRODUCT INFO

Kokedama Peace Lily plant size will vary (due to availability of plant stock).  Each living art creation is unique, but will look very similar to the Kokedamas pictured in this product catalogue.

The actual Peace Lily plant will be approx 40-45 cm in height from the top of Kokedama, depending on blooms.   The Kokedama ball size for this product is approx same size of a Soccer Ball.  All Kokedamas are made using combination of sphagnum moss, peat moss, soil, bark and twine.

    Basic Care:

Due to kokedamas being moss based, the plant root system will absorb the moisture they need to grow from the kokedama ball.  When the Kokedama ball becomes light in weight, the plant will generally need watering.

    • Most of the time kokedamas will need a soak once every 2 weeks, generally weekly in summer and less frequently in winter.  The Peace Lily will also droop in leaves when it becomes thirsty.
    • To water your Kokedama, they require a 10 minute soak with approx 5 cm of water, using a sink or large tub.
    • After soaking the plant you will notice it is heavier in weight, due to the water absorbed.
    • Kokedamas also like air flow, so recommend a stand to allow good air flow or hanging your kokedama.

Detail care insructions for your Kokedama will be included with your purchased product.
