Parlour Palm Kokedama
Parlour Palm Kokedamas are very easy care & make a great tropical addition.
They grow well indoors as they prefer low light, but will prefer a little bit of early morning or late afternoon sunlight. Parlour Palms are not super thirsty so will like to dry out a little bit (but not too much) between watering. Just make sure the kokedama is light in weight before giving it a watering/soak. They may also like a little liquid fertiliser in the warmer months.
Parlour Palms are also completely safe and non-toxic, making them perfectly pet and family friendly.
PRODUCT INFO
Kokedama Parlour Palm actual plant size will vary (due to availability of plant stock). Each living art creation is unique, but will look similar to the Kokedamas pictured in this product catalogue.
The actual Parlour Palm plant will be approx 20-30 cm in height from the top of Kokedama. Generally the Kokedama ball size for this product will be approx size of a baseball. All Kokedamas are made using combination of sphagnum moss, peat moss, soil, bark and twine.
Basic Care:
Due to kokedamas being moss based, the plant root system will absorb the moisture they need to grow from the kokedama ball. When the Kokedama ball becomes light in weight, the plant will generally need watering.
- Most of the time kokedamas will need a soak once every 2 weeks, sometimes more frequently in summer and less frequently in winter, that's why it's good to get to know the weight.
- To water your Kokedama, they require a 10 minute soak with approx 5 cm of water, using a sink or bowl.
- After soaking the plant you will notice it is heavier in weight, due to the water absorbed.
- Kokedamas also like air flow, so recommend a stand to allow good air flow or hanging your kokedama.
