Pothos Kokedama
Golden Pothos Kokedamas (aka Devil's Ivy, Epipremnum aureum) are super easy to grow and will create a long trailing vines or ideally wrap around an object to climb. Pothos are commonly known as Devil's Ivy, due to being fairly indestructible.
They are typically a shade plant, but will like filtered sunlight when growing indoors. Whilst they can be fairly drought tolerant, they also wont like to dry out too much being a Kokedama, so recommended soaking every 2-3 weeks.
Pothos are considered high on the list of air purifying plants, cleansing the air that we breathe by filtering out common toxins. Please do note that Pothos plants are also poisonous if ingested & even the sap can cause irritations to highly sensitve people, so consider this with your family and ensure it is placed well out of reach.
PRODUCT INFO
Kokedama Pothos plant size will vary (due to availability of plant stock). Each living art creation is unique, but will look similar to the Kokedamas pictured in this product catalogue.
The actual Pothos plant can be approx 10-15 cm in height from the top of Kokedama, trailing will vary. Generally the Kokedama ball size for this product will be around slightly bigger in size than a grapefruit. All Kokedamas are made using combination of sphagnum moss, peat moss, soil, bark and twine.
Basic Care:
Due to kokedamas being moss based, the plant root system will absorb the moisture they need to grow from the kokedama ball. When the Kokedama ball becomes light in weight, the plant will generally need watering.
- Most of the time kokedamas will need a soak once every 2-3 weeks.
- To water your Kokedama, they require a 10 minute soak with approx 5 cm of water, using a sink or bowl.
- After soaking the plant you will notice it is heavier in weight, due to the water absorbed.
- Kokedamas also like air flow, so recommend a stand to allow good air flow or hanging your kokedama.
Detail care insructions for your Kokedama will be included with your purchased product.
